How much is the buffet on fridays
The month if October every Friday. The first Friday the rest of the year. All year 5-9.
While the building is older and could use a little updating the food is worth the trip.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The best German for I've ever had.
Relaxing, casual atmosphere. Lots of beer selections including draft and bottle. My husband had a hard time deciding on a dish and opted for a select your own. I had the broiled scallops. Both choices were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Small out of the way German food restaurant in a small town that you find going off the main roads. The food is okay, but having a beer is great! Old style decoration with the feel of a German eatery. It wasn't crowded when I came through, just local people who know the place. I saw the place as I was traveling through and on my return trip I wanted to go and try it out and I was glad. It was a great atmosphere. I would come back again.
Great German food best I have had outside of germany
Food was mediocre. I will be honest, even if the food was better than mediocre, we wouldn't be back. The place is from wall to wall, top to bottom, so permeated in years and years (and years) of second hand smoke that we could not enjoy much of anything. It was like we were eating cigarettes instead of food. I have never experienced anything quite like that.
Had the peel and eat shrimp great food and service
Got the Jaegerschnitzel but the sauce was very thick and flavorless
Stop playing with a friend of mine great place and good food had a great time
Food was very good. And music was nice. It didn’t have pretzels though.
We decided to stop by for German food on our way home after seeing the positive reviews on line. My wife and I ordered the Rouladen with Spätzle and red cabbage - a traditional combination in Germany. The meal was anything but authentic. The Rouladen were totally dried out, difficult to chew, and soaked in a thick tasteless gravy you would never find in Germany. Also they were primarily rolled meat with far too little filling. The Spätzle were soggy ant tasteless. The red cabbage was straight out of a jar. The best part of dinner was the draft Warsteiner beer. We cannot speak for the other menu items as we have not had them. But the Rouladen are awful and are totally unauthentic. My wife is from Munich and we visit Germany annually so we are very familiar with how this meal should have tasted.
I had a great wiener schnitzel! Good selection of German beers. The decor was wonderfully kitschy. The waitress was kind and attentive.
Good food. Friendly people.
Food was a excellent, waitress was VERY pleasant and price was good. Need to get one closer or I have to move closer. It took 1 HR 30 min to get there. BUT WELL WORTH IT. See you again Hofbrauhaus!!!!
Very nice family atmosphere in the restaurant, and non smoking. Menu has very authentic German dishes, with traditional American choices available. Service is exceptional!
Adam is the best bartender around!
Food was delicious. And the hospitality was very nice and genuine.
This too has been one of my favorite places to go for the past how many years they got the most excellent German food
Good service. Food was good but not great.
Great German restaurant. Love the food. Stop there when in the area.
Great service and wonderful food
A great place to get a authentic German Schnitzel. Next time I am trying the Wurst platter.
Not very authentic, actually the worse german food I had in a long time along with Danzers from Syracuse, NY. Too americanized, no gravy on my zigeunerschnitzel. Overall the food was bad, establishment needs a facelift and cleaning. Very smelly like old stail smoke and bar smell. Waitress was great but wouldn't go back .
Just left there. Had buffet, good food but not worth $20. Not much to eat: 11 hot items, salad, 1 soup, and 2 salad sides. NO DESERT!! Who ever heard of a buffet and desert was extra?
I can say after experiencing several other Hofbrauhaus restaurants that this was the most disappointing. I live locally so i was extremely excited to visit and try their food. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly and i definitely have no complaints about the service. My issue was with both food and drink. The beer i got tasted flat and like it had been mixed with soap, i am not quite sure of a better way to explain it. It left me disappointed and i didn't finish it. My main meal followed, Jaegerschnitzel. It was tasteless, absolutely tasteless. I tried added salt and a little pepper but nothing i added, added any depth to the flavor. I got my check, paid and left with most of my meal left on the plate. I will not be back, i have learned my lesson and since have discovered from other friends they felt the same. Its a shame because i really like German Cuisine and there are no good places locally.
The server was delightful! We had lunch. The pork schnitzel topped with peppers and onions was excellent and very tender. Loved the cheese and crackers.
Service was friendly and attentive without being obnoxious. Ordered the monthly buffet, which was delicious, but be aware that the establishment is a traditional restaraunt, and the buffet is limited in options. The aesthetic and soundscape are designed to feel like a cozy place straight out of the black forest. Not perfect, but very worth it.
Tasty menu! Went for the jagerschnitzel, and ended up with the buffet. I was completely satisfied! Dessert was amazing too. Definitely will return! Highly recommend!
After driving by this restaurant for decades without stopping, I'm glad that I finally did. The ambience of this well-worn brauhaus is authentic; it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is, a old-style brew pub. (Those who prefer the sterile, unworn feel of chain restaurants may not like the ambience.) The staff was friendly. The German food was excellent. The German beer on tap complimented it. I was happy and full when I left.
The place might look ok but the German food is outstanding. Every option on the menu is great.
Outstanding service, quality and quantity of authentic German food. Waitresses even dress in German attire. 1st Fridays all you can eat German food.
My favorite german comfort foods. I stop in for dinner whenever i am in the area.
Excellent all the time we go food is Great and spot on !
Amazing food. Been coming here for years. True German food. Amazing.
This is a great place. Bar side is perfect for a quick drink and bite to eat! Check it out!
Very friendly place. Great German food. Other menu items as well.
Very good food. Excellent service.
Food was good and we'll be back. Could use a facelift though, it's probably the original 1978 decor from opening.
Sure hope this place has changed since I had my wife there.what I would say is it's a dump
Decor is a bit outdated but place was clean and tidy. Food was authentic and very tasty. Server was fun and friendly. I had stuffed cabbage and friend had veal cordon blue. Try the hot German potato salad...wonderful. Will go back again. Friend really enjoyed the beer selection.
Awesome German specialty's
The server was great. First time to try German food it was very good. I loved how it was decerated.
The food was good. The service was very slow because there was only one waitress working on a Saturday on a holiday weekend. I understand her situation, but she was also kind of rude to us.
We visited Fri June 19. They just open after being closed for all most 3 month for the state shut down. Our food was delicious and service was very good. We were glad they reopened. Thank you
Awesome place the good was delicious and the staff very friendly
FOOD ACCEPTABLE. ADVERTISED AS GERMAN RESTAURANT, BUT ACTUALLY IT ISN'T!
Nice place. Good German ambience. Waitress was nice. Food wad good but I didn't care for the sauerbreaten. I never had it before. My wife liked her meal and everything else was great. Next time I'll have to try something different.
A friend, my wife and I had lunch there today. The food and service was amazing! Will be back! What some call “dated” is actually very authentic German atmosphere. Love the authentic German menu. It’s definitely worth you checking it out.
It was surprisingly empty for a Friday night and while I've had worse German food, I've had better, too. To me it was the Denny's of German food. The potato dumplings were only mildly mediocre and the gravy and sauerkraut tasted like it was out if a jar. I grew up in Germany and wanted authentic German food and left disappointed. The server was nice and attentive but this place seemed to be past it's prime.
